Alaska Airlines Inaugurates Service Between Los Angeles and Baltimore

SEATTLE, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines inaugurates new service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Baltimore today, offering introductory one-way fares of $134.* Customers must purchase their tickets by Sept. 18 and travel by Nov. 18, 2015 to take advantage of the introductory fare.

"Our new non-stop Los Angeles-Baltimore service provides our Southern California customers easy access to this historic Mid-Atlantic seaport city, as well as further access to the nation's capital nearby,"  said John Kirby, Alaska Airlines' vice president of capacity planning. Alaska also flies nonstop from Los Angeles to Reagan National Airport.

The airline is offering members of its Mileage Plan double miles on the new route from Sept. 9 through Oct. 9, 2015. To qualify, travelers must be members of Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan and register at www.alaskaair.com. Customers who have not yet joined Mileage Plan can enroll at no cost online.

Alaska is operating the new flights with fuel-efficient, next generation Boeing 737 aircraft. Customers can enjoy free entertainment on their own devices and power at every seat, as well as Northwest-inspired food and beverages, such as Beecher's Flagship cheese, and exclusively blended Canoe Ridge wine.
