SEATTLE, Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines today named business communications professional Bryan Zidar its new managing director of corporate communications. Zidar will head up the company's public relations and employee communications efforts.

Zidar most recently served as director of corporate communications at T-Mobile US, where he had responsibility for frontline employee communications and public relations. Before that he served as director of internal communications for the company. Zidar started at T-Mobile predecessor, VoiceStream Wireless, in 2002 as senior manager of media relations.

Prior to T-Mobile, Zidar served in account management positions at public relations firms, Edelman and OnPR Inc.

A Washington native, he holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Washington State University.
