Alaska Air Group Names Lavanya Sareen Managing Director Of Investor Relations

SEATTLE, July 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Lavanya Sareen has joined Alaska Airlines as managing director of investor relations, overseeing analyst and shareholder communications for Alaska Air Group, the parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

Sareen is a 17-year veteran of the hospitality industry, having most recently served as director of corporate strategy and business development for United Airlines from 2011 to the present.  Prior to that, he served as director of financial analysis for Continental Airlines and worked with Marriott Group Hotels and Taj Hotels.

Sareen holds a master's of business administration degree in finance from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management.
