SEATTLE, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines will add a nonstop, daily flight between Fairbanks, Alaska, and Portland, Ore., starting June 9 through September 2, 2013. To kick off the new service, the airline is offering a $179* one-way fare, which must be purchased by Feb. 16 for travel through July 9.

"Beyond the added connectivity, there is a natural connection between Fairbanks and Portland, with many Alaskans having family members in the Rose City."
