SEATTLE, Aug. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines launched a sale today with low fares throughout Alaska, the contiguous United States and Canada. One-way fares start at $79* between Oakland, Calif., and Seattle and $219* between Anchorage, Alaska, and Seattle.

Tickets require a 14-day advance purchase and must be bought by Aug. 29 for travel starting Sept. 7 from the contiguous United States and Canada, and starting Sept. 27 from the state of Alaska. Travel must be completed by Dec. 8 from Alaska and by Dec. 14, 2011, from all other markets. Fares are available for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and blackout dates apply.
