SEATTLE, Aug. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines launched a "Low Fare Fiesta" sale today, featuring ticket prices as low as $92* each way to some of Mexico‘s most popular vacation destinations. Fares are good for travel from Aug. 22 to Oct. 7, 2011 (except for travel to Guadalajara, Mexico City, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo and Manzanillo, which is valid for travel between Aug. 29 and Nov. 16, 2011). Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 15 and are available at www.alaskaair.com.

Federal taxes: Customers will also be responsible for certain federal taxes and fees if Congress votes to reinstate them: U.S. Federal Segment Tax of $3.70 per segment (takeoff and landing) and U.S. International Transportation Tax of $16.30 (takeoff and landing). Until reinstated, Alaska Airlines will continue to pass along the tax savings to its customers.
