Alaska Airlines today announced plans to adjust its schedule between Nome, Kotzebue and Anchorage, Alaska for the spring/summer 2005 season.

Alaska will operate two flights routed Anchorage-Kotzebue-Nome-Anchorage, and one flight routed Anchorage-Nome-Kotzebue-Anchorage.

"We are pleased to be able to offer this revised schedule, which provides daily non-stop service to Anchorage for our customers in Nome and Kotzebue," said Bill MacKay, the airline’s senior vice president of Alaska. MacKay noted that the routing is a change from last year when Alaska operated three round-trip flights, all routed Anchorage-Kotzebue-Nome.

The new routing begins in May 2005 and will operate year-round. Alaska and sister carrier, Horizon Air, together serve more than 80 cities in Alaska, the Lower 48, Canada and Mexico.
