Alaska Air Group, Inc. (NYSE) today reported November passenger traffic for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines (Alaska) and Horizon Air (Horizon).

ALASKA AIRLINES

Alaska’s November traffic increased 4.1 percent to 1.366 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) from 1.312 billion flown a year earlier. Capacity during November was 1.816 billion available seat miles (ASMs), 1.4 percent higher than the 1.791 billion in November 2004.

The passenger load factor (the percentage of available seats occupied by fare-paying passengers) for the month was 75.2 percent, compared to 73.3 percent in November 2004. The airline carried 1,345,000 passengers, compared to 1,320,200 in November 2004.

RPMs for the 11-month period totaled 15.475 billion, a 4.4 percent increase from the 14.818 billion recorded a year earlier. Capacity for the 11 months ended November 2005 decreased 0.1 percent to 20.394 billion ASMs, compared to 20.417 billion in 2004.

The passenger load factor for the first 11 months of 2005 was 75.9 percent, compared to 72.6 percent in 2004. The airline carried 15,360,100 passengers, compared to 14,887,200 in 2004.

HORIZON AIR

Horizon’s November traffic increased 10 percent to 206.2 million RPMs from 187.5 million flown a year earlier. Capacity during November was 279.2 million ASMs, 9.1 percent higher than the 255.9 million in November 2004.

The passenger load factor for the month was 73.9 percent, compared to 73.3 percent in November 2004. The airline carried 523,500 passengers, compared to 510,000 in November 2004.

RPMs for the 11-month period totaled 2.258 billion, a 15.6 percent increase from the 1.954 billion recorded a year earlier. Capacity for the 11 months ended November 2005 increased 9.7 percent to 3.110 billion ASMs, compared to 2.836 billion in 2004.

The passenger load factor for the first 11 months of 2005 was 72.6 percent, compared to 68.9 percent in 2004. The airline carried 5,929,000 passengers, compared to 5,383,000 in 2004.

Horizon’s RPMs, passenger load factor and passengers are reported using actual November operating data for flights operated as Horizon Air combined with estimated operating data for Horizon’s regional jet service operated as Frontier JetExpress.
